Nursery
Stop at the rustic, eight sided gift shop and specialty nursery established at the location of a 1915 homestead for a visit that's easy on the eye and good for the soul. Guests are treated to a four-part tour of operations which includes displays of the owner's inspirations, creations and living art - a reflection of love of nature and the land. All plants are propagated in the greenhouses, and the art and living-plant arrangements are created there as well - many using plants with medicinal properties to promote health, happiness, healing, harmony, and hope (the owner's "5-H" approach to "gift-farming" in the Sonoma County countryside.
ONE: The nursery features native species, drought-tolerant native trees and plants for water-conserving yards and landscapes.
TWO: The gift shop is filled with the living-plant pieces and hand-painted items that are one-of-a-kind creations.
THREE: Displays and Demonstrations of techniques for making bent-wood trellises for supporting plants and decorating your yard.
FOUR: The Kid's Corner offers a free gift for your children and a place for them to play while you browse, shop, and discuss displays.
Pricing is moderate and there are items not likely to be found elsewhere. We look forward to your visit,
-Diane H. Davis, owner, propagator, artist

The Crane Melon is a Sonoma County tradition. Available only during September and October, the Crane melon was developed to be grown in a particular soil type and grown in an area with a certain climate. The property where the melon was developed is still owned and farmed by the Crane family. It is because of this soil, climate and farming style that the original crane melon can only be purchased directly form the Crane Family at the Crane Melon Barn. The Barn will be open from 10-6 selling Crane melons during the weekend event. There will be melon samples available. Also in attendance will be the famous Barn dogs Zoë and Peanut.
